U.S.-Ukraine Social Media Toolkit

September 2024

This week, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is visiting the United States, where he toured a Pennsylvania ammunition factory, will address the U.N. General Assembly, and meet with leaders at the White House.

Below are resources highlighting that, as president, Kamala Harris will work closely with our allies to stand firm against Russia’s aggression. In contrast, Donald Trump has consistently shown a willingness to appease Putin, even at the expense of the American people.

Sample Social Posts:

  • Donald Trump’s concept of a plan hands Putin exactly what he wants: a weaker Ukraine and a fractured West. Americans deserve a president who strengthens our alliances and our nation, not one who appeases dictators and undermines our security.

  • Trump’s obsession with Putin and desire to become a dictator himself puts our security at risk. We need a leader like Harris who defends our values without question, not one who bends to autocrats.

  • Every dollar of aid to Ukraine protects freedom and fuels American jobs. Trump’s willingness to cede Ukrainian land to Putin is not leadership, it’s a threat to our safety.

  • Aid to Ukraine strengthens U.S. national security and boosts American manufacturing. But Donald Trump’s dangerous “peace plan” would hand Ukraine to Putin, embolden other dictators and leave the U.S. vulnerable. We can’t afford a president that puts dictators first.

  • Donald Trump’s plan to give Ukrainian territory to Russia isn’t peace, it’s a gift to Vladimir Putin. America needs a leader who stands with our allies, not autocrats.

Polling on the War in Ukraine:

A significant majority of voters want the United States to continue providing military weapons to help Ukraine fight Russian aggression, and voters say our goal should be to help Ukraine defeat Russian aggression rather than achieving a negotiated end to the war that concedes territory to Putin.

It is important to be clear that Trump’s version of “ending the war in one day” really means giving Putin what he wants.
